You can book a holiday in lots of different ways – in a travel agent’s office, on the internet, over the phone, at the airport if you like to live a little dangerously… There are some rules you should always adhere to though, so here are some of the things you really need to remember when you are booking your next trip away:
- Use a reputable source. It can be a dangerous game to book a holiday using a website you have never heard of before. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
- Read reviews, but don’t rely on them too much. Reviews are a good way to get an idea about a place but think for yourself as well. Everybody will have different standards and priorities, which might not be the same as yours.
- Don’t select a destination without proper research. Make sure there is plenty to do and that it is the right time of year so you will be able to enjoy good weather.
